The PuckVerse Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The PuckVerse! By using The PuckVerse ("TPV", "The PuckVerse", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our Service.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the legal authority to accept these Terms.

  2. Account Creation and Security

    To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity performed through your account is your responsibility.

  3. Service Overview

    The Service allows users to create fantasy hockey pools (NHL Playoffs, World Cup of Hockey, IIHF World Juniors, and Ice Hockey at the Olympic games) and participate in drafts. Participation in fantasy pools is for entertainment purposes only; no monetary transactions are facilitated through the Service other than optional donations (see Payments and Donations).

  4. User Conduct

    By using the Service, you agree that you will not:

    • Use the Service for illegal purposes.
    • Exploit the platform to gain an unfair advantage over other users.
  5. Content Ownership

    All content you post or upload (e.g., team names, draft picks) remains your property, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for the operation and promotion of the Service. All intellectual property related to the Service is owned by us. You may not copy, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

  6. Payments and Donations

    The Service is free to use. Donations are optional and help cover the cost of running the Service.

    • Donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
    • Donations do not give you any features, advantages, or ownership in the Service.
    • The PuckVerse is not a registered charity, so donations are not tax-deductible.
    • Donations can be made in CAD or USD. Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee.
    • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
    • If you were charged in error or don't recognize a charge, email us at thepuckverse@gmail.com within 30 days and we'll look into it.

    If the Service offers paid features or subscriptions in the future, you agree to pay the associated fees. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  7. Disclaimer of Warranties

    The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.

  8. Limitation of Liability

    We are not liable for:

    • Any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service.
    • User-generated content or third-party links on the Service.
  9. Termination

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

  10. Changes to the Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.

  11. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Saskatchewan, Canada.
